The perfectly ridiculous narratives of How It Happened are filling in the gaps and giving some closure, earning it two Cheers!

One of my most favorite events of 2020 was Jonathan Swan’s interview of Trump about the government’s response to the pandemic. His “What manuals? What books?” retort and meme-worthy eyebrow raises could easily be confused with a epic SNL skit. So, I was thrilled when I heard Swan had created a new podcast, How It Happened, about Trump’s final months in office. And, thus far, the episodes don’t disappoint. Swan’s quippy, matter-of-fact reporting shows how he understands the situation, but is able to describe and engage in a conversational tone.
