Nobody’s walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas

I adore the movie Christmas Vacation – every minute of it – and can’t wait for it to be reasonably close to Christmas to begin regularly watching it. I remember chuckling with family each Christmas Eve at my Grandparents’ house over ridiculous scenes like Clark pulling out the ball of tangled lights and Eddie destroying the wooden Christmas pyramid. And, this year was particularly touching for me as grinning Mabel asked me, “You think you might be overdoing it, Mom?” and began reciting other lines.
