Get ready
- Muddler
- Cocktail shaker
- Cocktail strainer
- Spherical ice mold
- Glass cloche with plate
- Cherry or maple wood chips
- Matches
- 3 oz bourbon (Woodford Reserve)
- 1 shake orange bitters (Regans’)
- ¾ oz maple syrup (Labonte)
- 1 orange
- Maraschino cherries (Luxardo)
Glass cloche-less? Amazon can have you bringing out your inner mixologist in no time. Wood chips too.
Get mixing
- Add the bourbon, orange bitters and maple syrup into a cocktail shaker ¾ full of ice.
- Shake until frost forms on the outside of the shaker.
- Muddle one slice of orange in the bottom of an old fashioned cocktail glass.
. - Strain the contents of the shaker into the glass.
- Add to the glass one skewered cherry.
- Add to the glass one spherical ice ball.
- Place the cocktail glass on the plate.
- Ignite a wood chip and place on the plate.
- Cover the cocktail glass with a glass cloche until the wood chip stops smoking.
- Lift the cloche.
