Champagne at the fair

So long, Summer

It was still hot outside when I pulled out my decorative pumpkins. If you’re like me, the smell of apple cider and feel of cool breeze can’t come soon enough – let alone after two seasons of isolation.

I love decorating for the season and have gotten pretty good at swapping items and colors almost magically unbeknownst to my family. Here are some great Fall finds that won’t break the bank.

  • Pheasant feather art, pheasant pillow – JoAnn Fabrics
  • Glass quail, pumpkin candle holders, ceramic pumpkins, fall signs, table runners, plates – Target
  • Wheat – HomeGoods
  • Floral – Michaels

Andrew has bought me hand-blown pumpkins from an artisan fair in Southern Illinois for many years. But, you can find similar looking replicas nearly everywhere. I like to display many colors together – like a wonderland pumpkin patch – and use a cloche and cake stand to mix it up.

I created a separate space for Halloween decorations. Almost all of these are available at Target this season. And, the potion set does double duty because it’s fun to play with!

So, goodbye, Summer; hello, Fall. I’m ready for a new season. ‘Bout time. And with that, see you at the pumpkin patch!
